Art & Culture at Hotel Inglaterra
Hotel Inglaterra resides in a historic, neoclassical building built in 1926. Its facade has been fully restored, bringing out the balconies and lookouts as well as the grace of its cornices, balustrades and transoms.
In the course of the restoration, ornamentation was touched up, the marble staircase was conserved and wooden banisters added, the stuccoed walls were given sgraffito skirting boards, the doors fitted with peepholes and brass knobs, and the high ceilings were preserved along with other original elements of the old rooms of the six floor property.
