Art & Culture at Hotel Claris
The Hotel Claris is a treasure in and of itself. Barely hidden within its walls guests find themselves face to face with the Egyptian Museum, archeological pieces and antiques combined with the most advanced contemporary interior design.
Hindu sculptures from the second through to the tenth century, original Egyptians engravings commissioned by Napoleon, English furniture pieces from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Turkish woven rugs from the nineteenth century, Roman sculptures and mosaics and even pop-art lithographs Andy Warhol are all on exhibition in the communal zones of the hotel and, amazingly, within the rooms themselves.
