The Boulevard brand, originally conceived as Hotel Boulevard Barcelona, was created to demonstrate, in times of economic crisis and intense competition, that the growing trend of association-forming, so unique to Catalan civil society, could not only bear fruit but, from a business and commercial perspective, the ripest of fruit. To achieve these ends, several companies with common characteristics came together: all were and are family-owned companies - older or newer, bigger or smaller, perhaps - but all family-owned, and all with hotels in the heart of Barcelona.
